The story of cute and clumsy 16-year-old Ruby Gillman struggling to fit in at Oceanside High School. After discovering that she was part of the mythical Kraken of the Seas. and was destined to inherit the throne from her grandmother The Warrior Queen of the Seven Seas, the Kraken vows to protect Earth's oceans from the futile power-hungry mermaids who have fought the Kraken for so long. One major problem immediately arises: Chelsea, the new beautiful girl at school. Accidentally being a mermaid Ruby must eventually come to terms with who she is and try to protect those she loves the most.
