musical comedy movie After being fired from the rock band, guitarist Dewey Finn faces debt and depression. He shares the apartment with former band member Ned Schneebly, who is now a substitute teacher. Dewey takes over as a teacher at a disdainful private elementary school. His silly attitude and habit had a profound effect on his students. He knew they were a new generation of talented musicians. And he decides to form a rock band with them to win $10,000 in a local band contest. When Dewey wins a tournament known as the "Battle of the Bands", the prize money solves his financial problems and puts him back in the spotlight.
