This comedy-documentary is based on a true story of a musical odyssey through five decades of weird and wonderful. by Ron and Russell Mael celebrates the inspirational legacy of Sparks. The documentary features lengthy interviews with Ron and Russell Mael, along with short interviews with the band's musicians, record producers, and producers. Previous members of the band worked with Maels across the Sparks line-up from the early 1970s through the early 2020s, as well as a handful of other fans. The documentary also features several short animation sequences to reproduce the baseless anecdotes between the musicians. It features comedians and frequent Wright collaborators Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
